A poultry farmer from a remote village in northwestern Tanzania raises around 300 broiler chickens. With no access to commercial feed nearby, he relied on locally available corn flour as the main feed. Although affordable, the loose powder was easily blown away during feeding, causing serious waste. The humid climate also made it prone to mold.
After seeing videos of other farmers making their own feed pellets, he decided to try it himself. Following some research, he contacted us through our website and purchased a KD-230 pellet machine with a 3 mm die.
He uses the same corn flour as raw material, presses it into pellets, collects them in a metal basin, and lets them cool naturally before feeding his chickens.
After switching to pellet feed, the farmer noticed his chickens were eating more eagerly than before. He no longer had to worry about the feed being blown away, and storage also became much easier.
