The customer is from coastal eastern Kenya, where sugarcane is widely grown. During harvest season, sugarcane leaves are collected for livestock feed. Raw leaves are hard to digest, and manual cutting is time consuming and labor heavy. After finding our chaff cutter online, the customer contacted us for more details.
The user installed a simple solar setup near the field for power. We recommended a 3T electric chaff cutter to match the site conditions. Sugarcane leaves are collected by tricycle and processed on site, with the cutting length adjusted to 12–16 mm for easy livestock feeding.

Under stable operation, the machine handles about 3 tons of sugarcane leaves per hour. The chopped material is collected on plastic sheets for easy storage and feeding.
After using the machine for some time, the customer was very satisfied, saying it greatly improved processing efficiency and made better use of sugarcane leaves that were often wasted before.
